Sow seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last expected frost. Maintain a temperature of 65 to 70°F (18 to 21°C) for best germination. Transplant seedlings outdoors after the last frost, spacing plants 16 to 20 inches (40 to 50 cm) apart in the row and between rows. Prepare a rich, well-drained, slightly acidic soil (pH 6.0 to 6.8).
Water regularly to maintain even moisture, which helps prevent cracking of the heads. Fertilize sparingly to encourage even growth without excess foliage. Harvest cabbages when the heads are firm and reach their optimum size.
Add 'Kosaro YR F1' cabbage to your vegetable garden for an attractive, uniform and resilient harvest, perfect for colourful and nutritious dishes all summer long.
