Cultivation method:

Sow seeds indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost date. Maintain a temperature of 65 to 70 degrees F (18 to 21 degrees C) for best germination. Transplant seedlings outdoors after the last frost, spacing plants 8 inches (20 cm) apart in the row and leaving 16 to 20 inches (40 to 50 cm) between rows. Fertilize with a nitrogen-free fertilizer to promote dense, flavorful heads.

Choose a rich, well-drained, slightly acidic soil (pH 6.0 to 6.8). Water regularly to maintain moisture and avoid water stress, especially during hot periods.

Harvest cabbages when they reach their optimum size and their heads are firm. This mini cabbage is perfect for winter dishes, preserves and soups, offering a mild flavour and a crunchy texture.

Add 'Reaction YR F1' winter cabbage to your vegetable garden for a compact, long-lasting and tasty harvest, ideal for tackling the cold season.
