Hybrid summer squash 'Orangetti' F1 (Cucurbita pepo)offered by seed company WH Perron

The 'Orangetti' F1 squash is a unique variety of spaghetti squash thanks to its vibrant orange rind. Low in calories and rich in provitamin A, it offers a sweet flavour and excellent nutritional value. Each fruit weighs around 900g and, after just 11 minutes of cooking, its flesh transforms into strands reminiscent of spaghetti noodles.

Maturity after sowing: 65 days
Fruit shape: Elongated
Fruit length: 15-18 cm
Type: Spaghetti

Latin name: Cucurbita pepo
Companion plants: Beetroot, borage, bean, marjoram, mint, corn, oregano, radish

Cultivation method:

Sow directly into the ground after the last frost, when the soil is at least 16°C. Plant the seeds 2.5 cm deep, spacing the plants 1.5 to 2 m apart. To save space, you can grow the squash on a sturdy trellis.

This variety prefers rich, well-drained, fertile soil. Water regularly, especially during hot spells, to promote good growth and sweet flesh.

Harvest the fruits when they reach a bright orange color and their skin becomes hard. Store them in a cool, dry place to prolong their shelf life.

Add 'Orangetti' F1 squash to your vegetable garden for a tasty and decorative harvest, perfect for healthy and original meals throughout the fall.
