Cultivation method:

Sow seeds directly outdoors from late April to late July, 1 cm (1/2 inch) deep and 2.5 cm (1 inch) apart. Space rows 30 to 45 cm (12 to 18 inches) apart. Once established, thin out the plants to 10 cm (4 inches) apart in the row.

Kohlrabi prefers well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter. Water regularly, especially during dry spells, to maintain uniform growth and prevent the stems from becoming fibrous. Harvest when the stems are 2 to 3 inches (5 to 7 cm) in diameter for best flavor and texture.
