Fruit size : 1.4 to 1.8 kg (3 to 4 pounds)
Plant height : 30 to 40 cm (12 to 16 inches)
Plant spacing : 75 to 95 cm (30 to 38 inches)
Spacing between hills : 1.5 to 2 m (4 to 6 feet)
Exposure : Full sun
Sowing : Direct sowing recommended (or indoors for short season regions)
Quantity per pack : 80 to 100 untreated seeds

Cultivation method:

Choose a sheltered, south-facing site with plenty of sun to optimize growth. Sow 3 to 4 seeds 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep per hill. Space hills 4 to 6 feet (1.5 to 2 m) apart. Once the seedlings have germinated, thin to 3 to 4 plants per hill.

In short-season areas, start seeds indoors in paper or peat pots 4 weeks before the expected last frost date. Maintain a soil temperature of at least 70°F (21°C) for best germination. Transplant seedlings outdoors once the danger of frost has passed.

Keep melon vines evenly watered throughout the growing season. Avoid overwatering once the fruits are well formed to preserve their flavor and sweet texture.

An incomparable taste experience!

The 'Charentais' cantaloupe melon is a must-have for any gardener looking to grow a high-quality fruit. Its sweet taste and intense aroma make it a real summer treat, perfect to eat fresh, in fruit salads or as an accompaniment to a meal.
