Peppermint (Mentha × piperita), offered by the seed company Weston Seeds

Peppermint is a popular perennial plant known for its refreshing scent and many culinary and medicinal uses. Perfect as a sweet topping for fruit, ice cream, or for making a comforting hot tea, this aromatic herb adds a refreshing touch to your dishes. Grown in containers, it is easy to control, as its roots tend to spread vigorously when left to grow freely.

Days to maturity : 90 to 100 days
Height : 18 to 24 inches
Spacing : 18 to 30 inches
Sowing : Indoor or direct sowing
Exposure : Full sun, partially shaded
Quantity per pack : Untreated, non-GMO seeds

Cultivation method:

Sow directly outdoors in average, well-drained soil in a sunny location from late May to mid-September. In spring, start seedlings indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost in a soilless mix. Maintain a temperature of 70°F (21°C) for germination in 7 to 14 days, then move seedlings to a slightly cooler environment before hardening off and transplanting outdoors once the danger of frost has passed.

Sow seeds 1/8" (3 mm) deep and 1/2" (1.25 cm) apart, then thin to 4" (10 cm) in the garden. If possible, grow in containers to better control root spread.

A versatile and refreshing herb!

With its distinctive scent and multiple uses, peppermint is a must-have for any gardener. Grow it easily in pots or in the garden to enjoy its aromas and enrich your culinary preparations all year long.
