Dwarf pea 'Rondo Rugoso' (Pisum sativum), offered by the seed company Weston Seeds

The Rondo Rugoso dwarf pea is an early variety producing large, curved pods containing 8 to 10 sweet, round, smooth peas. Compact and reliable, it reaches about 40 cm in height, making it an excellent choice for short-season regions or small gardens. Its generous yield and mild flavor make it a gardener's favorite.

Height: 40 cm
Spacing: 30 to 35 cm
Sowing: Direct sowing
Exposure: Full sun
Quantity per packet: 55 to 60 seeds, untreated, non-GMO seeds

Cultivation method:

Sow directly outdoors as soon as the soil can be worked in spring, at a depth of about 2–3 cm. Peas prefer cool, slightly moist, but well-drained soil. Provide light support if necessary, even for dwarf varieties, to keep the pods clean and easy to harvest.

Space the plants 30 to 35 cm apart to allow for good air circulation. Water regularly without overwatering and harvest the pods when they are full but still tender.
