The Topepo Rosso red pepper is a compact heirloom variety producing an abundance of small, round, 2- to 3-inch fruits, prized for their sweet flavor and thick flesh. Cultivation method:
Sow indoors 8 to 10 weeks before the last frost, lightly covering the seeds in warm, well-draining potting soil. Maintain a temperature of 24 to 28°C for optimal germination, then provide bright light. Transplant when the seedlings have 2 to 3 true leaves.
Transplant outdoors after all risk of frost has passed, spacing plants 30 to 35 cm apart in fertile, warmed soil. Water regularly without waterlogging and mulch to retain moisture. Compact plants produce abundantly throughout the season, especially in full sun.
