'Topepo Rosso' red pepper (Capsicum annuum), offered by the seed company Weston Seeds

The Topepo Rosso red pepper is a compact heirloom variety producing an abundance of small, round, 2- to 3-inch fruits, prized for their sweet flavor and thick flesh. Ideal for grilling or stuffing, these peppers produce generous harvests on vigorous, easy-to-grow plants. Their high productivity and sweet taste make them a popular choice for home gardens.

Height: 45 to 60 cm
Spacing: 30 to 35 cm
Sowing: Indoor sowing
Exposure: Full sun
Quantity per packet: 80 to 100 seeds, untreated, non-GMO

Cultivation method:

Sow indoors 8 to 10 weeks before the last frost, lightly covering the seeds in warm, well-draining potting soil. Maintain a temperature of 24 to 28°C for optimal germination, then provide bright light. Transplant when the seedlings have 2 to 3 true leaves.

Transplant outdoors after all risk of frost has passed, spacing plants 30 to 35 cm apart in fertile, warmed soil. Water regularly without waterlogging and mulch to retain moisture. Compact plants produce abundantly throughout the season, especially in full sun.

The Topepo Rosso offers sweet and fleshy fruits perfect for summer cooking.

The availability of our seeds varies depending on seasonal availability, production schedules and supplier inventory.
