The California Wonder pepper is a classic variety prized for its large, thick-walled green fruits, measuring 12 to 15 cm, which offer a sweet and crisp flavor. The tall, vigorous plants produce consistently and exhibit good virus resistance, making it a reliable choice for gardeners. Its firm texture and pleasant taste make it an excellent pepper for both fresh and cooked dishes.

Sow indoors 8 to 10 weeks before the last frost, lightly covering the seeds in warm, well-draining potting soil. Maintain a temperature of 24 to 28°C to encourage germination, then provide bright, consistent light. Transplant into individual pots once the first true leaves have developed.
