Cultivation method:

Pole beans prefer light, well-drained soil with a pH of around 6.5. Avoid cold, wet soils that could hinder their development.

Sow seeds directly outdoors 1 inch (2.5 cm) deep and space them 3 inches (8 cm) apart in rows 18 to 28 inches (45 to 70 cm) apart. Use stakes, trellises or netting to support the upright growth of these vigorous pole beans.

To prolong the harvest, sow beans every 10 days until mid-July. Ensure regular watering, especially during flowering and pod formation. Avoid handling plants when leaves are wet to reduce the risk of disease.
