Rosemary
Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), offered by the seed company Weston Seeds
Rosemary is a bushy, upright perennial with a strong fragrance; its leaves release a remarkable scent when crushed. Its pale blue flowers add a delicate touch to this essential herb for chicken, lamb, or pork dishes. In colder regions, it is best overwintered indoors, as this tender perennial does not tolerate prolonged temperatures below 8°C and generally dies below -15°C.

Sow indoors or outdoors when the soil is warm, pressing the seeds lightly into the surface of well-draining potting mix. Germination may be slow and uneven, requiring light but consistent moisture. Provide poor to moderately fertile, well-drained soil and a sunny location to enhance the foliage aroma.
Transplant or thin to 45-75 cm apart once the plants are well established. In colder climates, grow in pots to facilitate overwintering. Rosemary prefers moderate watering and tolerates dry heat well.
