'Grappoli Winter' cherry tomato (Solanum lycopersicum), offered by the seed company Weston Seeds

The Grappoli Winter cherry tomato is a trailing heirloom variety that produces long clusters of small, sweet, and highly aromatic red fruits, about 1 inch in diameter. Its naturally trailing growth habit makes it an excellent choice for hanging baskets or containers, where it produces hundreds of fruits throughout the season. An indeterminate variety, it offers a prolonged and decorative harvest.

Height: 45 cm
Spacing: 30 to 35 cm
Sowing: Indoor sowing
Exposure: Full sun
Growth type: Indeterminate (drooping)
Quantity per packet: 200 to 250 seeds, untreated, non-GMO

Cultivation method:

Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost, lightly covering the seeds in warm, well-draining potting soil. Maintain a temperature of 22 to 24°C (72 to 75°F) for germination in 5 to 10 days, then provide bright, even light. Transplant when the first true leaves appear.

Transplant outdoors or into containers after all risk of frost has passed, spacing the plants 30 to 35 cm apart. For optimal trailing growth, grow in hanging baskets, large pots, or containers. Water regularly at the base and mulch to retain moisture. Abundant fruit production continues throughout the summer on its supple, decorative stems.

Grappoli Winter is distinguished by its remarkable sweetness and impressive yield in suspended cultivation.
