The red cherry tomato is a much-loved heirloom variety producing small, sweet fruits weighing ½ to 1 ounce, perfect for snacking, salads, or container gardening. Cultivation method:
Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost in a light, warm potting mix. Cover the seeds very lightly and maintain a temperature of 22 to 24°C for germination in 5 to 10 days. Provide bright light and transplant when the first true leaves appear.
Transplant outdoors or into pots after the last frost, spacing the plants 35 to 45 cm apart. Provide a stake or cage to support the indeterminate growth. Water regularly at the base and mulch to retain moisture and stabilize soil temperature.
