The Ponderosa yellow tomato produces charming, round, approximately 2-inch fruits that are sweet and juicy, containing more than three times the beta-carotene of regular tomatoes. Their mild, low-acid flavor makes them a popular choice for salads and summer snacks. This indeterminate variety forms vigorous plants about 45 cm tall, ready to harvest after only 65 days.

Cultivation method:
Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost, lightly covering the seeds in warm, well-draining potting soil. Maintain a temperature of 22 to 24°C (72 to 75°F) to encourage germination in 5 to 10 days. Provide bright light and transplant when the first true leaves appear.
Transplant outdoors after all risk of frost has passed, spacing the plants 30 to 35 cm apart in fertile, slightly moist soil. Provide a light stake to support the indeterminate growth. Water regularly at the base and mulch to retain moisture and encourage continuous production.
