Giant Zinnia (Zinnia elegans) flower mix, offered by Weston Seeds

The Giant Zinnia Flower Mix is a spectacular annual that produces very large double flowers, perfect for brightening up your borders or for elegant bouquets. Reaching a height of 50 to 60 cm, these zinnias are not only beautiful, but also easy to grow, making them an ideal choice for gardeners of all abilities.

Plant Type: Annual
Height: 50 to 60 cm (20 to 24 inches)
Spacing: 25 to 30 cm (10 to 12 inches)
Sowing: Indoor/direct
Exposure: Full sun/partial shade
Quantity per pack: Untreated, GMO-free seeds

Cultivation method:

Sow directly outdoors after all risk of frost for a vibrant bloom 6-8 weeks after sowing. For an earlier start, sow indoors in early April. Press seeds into the soil uncovered as they require light to germinate. Maintain a temperature of 20°C (70°F) for rapid germination in 5-10 days.

Start seedlings under artificial light before hardening them off and transplanting them outdoors in late May, spacing plants 10 to 12 inches (25 to 30 cm) apart. Zinnias prefer well-drained soil and a sunny location, but they can also thrive in partially shaded areas in regions with hot summers.

After the first bloom, prune the plants lightly to encourage a new flush of blooms and prolong their presence in your garden. This vibrant mix of giant zinnias will transform your outdoor spaces into a festival of vibrant color all summer long.

Giant zinnias, a must-have for impressive borders and vibrant bouquets!
