Outdoors, plant in well-drained, rather dry soil , in a sunny to partially shaded location. Alyssum adapts easily and is tolerant in most situations.
Growing tips
When transplanting, work the soil to a depth of about 30 cm and incorporate compost or organic matter to encourage good root development. Handle the roots carefully and water regularly every 2 to 3 days until well established. Adding bone meal or a soil activator can support establishment, although this plant is generally undemanding .
Once established, white alyssum requires little maintenance. Water when the soil is dry to the touch and avoid overwatering. Lightly removing faded flowers can encourage even more abundant blooming.
