Yellow French bean 'Loriot' – offered by Semences WH Perron

The yellow French bean 'Loriot' is a refined variety that stands out for its thin, round and sweet pods, ideal for salads, stir-fries or to enjoy fresh. Measuring between 9 and 10 cm long, its fine-sized pods offer a juicy texture and a mild flavor. A good replacement for the Serin variety, 'Loriot' stands out for its better production and superior quality. With a maturity reached in only 55 days, it guarantees a fast and abundant harvest for gardeners of all levels.

Spread : 20-30 cm
Quantity per pack : 100 seeds

Cultivation method :

Sow directly in the open ground after the last frosts, when the soil is well warmed. Plant at a depth of 2 to 3 cm, with a distance of 10 to 15 cm between seeds and 45 to 50 cm between rows. This bean prefers a loose, well-drained soil, rich in organic matter and exposure to full sun.

To extend the harvest period, sow successively every two weeks until mid-July. Maintain constant moisture, but avoid overwatering to prevent disease. Harvest regularly to encourage continued pod production.

Easy to grow and aesthetically appealing thanks to its bright yellow colour, the 'Loriot' bean is a sure bet for a productive and colourful vegetable garden.
