Planting and maintenance:
Sow directly outdoors when the soil is well prepared and the temperature is above 7.5°C, at a depth of 7 to 15 mm, in rows spaced 45 to 60 cm apart. Keep the soil consistently moist during germination, which can take up to three weeks. Gradually thin the seedlings to about 5 cm apart to allow for good root development. Weed regularly and avoid excessive nitrogen fertilization. Harvest when the roots have developed a rich color.
