Fafard's AGROMIX® Seedling and Seedling Soil is a finely calibrated horticultural substrate for the sensitive phases of germination and initial rooting. Its light and homogeneous texture ensures optimal contact between the seed and the growing medium, promoting uniform emergence and rapid root development.

Composed of sphagnum peat moss, coconut fiber, and natural amendments, it offers a precise balance between water retention and aeration. This structural stability limits the risk of damping-off, while ensuring a moderate nutrient supply adapted to young seedlings whose needs are still limited.

How to use

Moisten the substrate before sowing to achieve a uniformly moist texture without saturating. Fill the trays or containers without over-compacting. After sowing, maintain consistent moisture by watering gently or through capillary action. For transplanting, use as a transition medium before planting in a more nutrient-rich growing medium.

Primarily intended for indoor use or under controlled environments to optimize the thermal and hygrometric conditions necessary for germination.

Plants concerned

Suitable for sowing vegetable seeds, propagating indoor and garden plants, and producing microgreens for consumption. Also suitable for young plants in the transition phase before transplanting into larger containers.

Features and benefits

fine and homogeneous texture

Ensures excellent seed-substrate contact and promotes regular seedling emergence.

Controlled water retention

The combination of peat and coconut fiber facilitates wetting and maintains stable humidity without excess.

Optimal root aeration

The integrated perlite improves porosity and supports the development of vigorous rootlets.

Gentle fertilization

Guaranteed analysis 0.05% N, 0.07% P2O5, 0.1% K2O: moderate supply suitable for young plant tissues.

Approved for organic farming

Formulation that complies with organic farming practices, respectful of soils and young plants.

Structured composition

Sphagnum peat moss, coconut fiber, humus, perlite, lime, gypsum and natural fertilizer for a physical and chemical balance adapted to seedlings.
