Fafard's AGROMIX® Seedling and Seedling Soil is a finely calibrated horticultural substrate for the sensitive phases of germination and initial rooting. Its light and homogeneous texture ensures optimal contact between the seed and the growing medium, promoting uniform emergence and rapid root development.
Composed of sphagnum peat moss, coconut fiber, and natural amendments, it offers a precise balance between water retention and aeration. This structural stability limits the risk of damping-off, while ensuring a moderate nutrient supply adapted to young seedlings whose needs are still limited.
Moisten the substrate before sowing to achieve a uniformly moist texture without saturating. Fill the trays or containers without over-compacting. After sowing, maintain consistent moisture by watering gently or through capillary action. For transplanting, use as a transition medium before planting in a more nutrient-rich growing medium.
