Planting and maintenance:
Sow directly from mid-July to mid-August, about 1 cm deep, in rows spaced 30 cm apart, in loose, deep, well-drained soil, in full sun. Thin the seedlings to about 10 cm apart to allow for good root development. Maintain consistent moisture to encourage even growth. To harvest, lightly loosen the soil before gently pulling up the roots to avoid breaking them.
