This open-pollinated variety of Japanese radish produces long, white roots resembling large carrots, with tender, very crisp flesh. Planting and maintenance:
Sow directly from mid-July to mid-August, about 1 cm deep, in rows spaced 30 cm apart, in loose, deep, well-drained soil, in full sun. Thin the seedlings to about 10 cm apart to allow for good root development. Maintain consistent moisture to encourage even growth. To harvest, lightly loosen the soil before gently pulling up the roots to avoid breaking them.
