Cultivation method:
Sow seeds indoors about 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Use a peat moss-based mix to encourage rapid germination (10-14 days) at a temperature of 70-75°F (21-24°C). When seedlings are 1.5 inches (4 cm), transplant them into individual pots and lower the temperature to 60-65°F (15-18°C). Harden them off before transplanting in late May, spacing 3 feet (90 cm) apart for indeterminate varieties.
Ensure constant watering at the base and avoid wetting the foliage to limit diseases. Apply mulch to conserve moisture and protect the fruit.
