An AAS winner, this variety produces Beefsteak-type fruits weighing 260-350g, perfect for the home gardener. With a sweet, meaty flesh and exceptional flavour, Big Beef produces up to twice as many fruits as a conventional variety. Grows between 50-100cm tall. Indeterminate growth, ensuring a progressive harvest throughout the season.

Cultivation method:
Sow seeds indoors about 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Use a peat moss-based mix and maintain a temperature of 70-75°F (21-24°C) to encourage rapid germination (10-14 days). Once seedlings are 1.5 inches (4cm), transplant them into individual pots at 60-65°F (15-18°C) until transplanting to the ground in late May. Space plants 3 feet (90cm) apart for optimum growth.
To reduce disease, water at the base, apply mulch to conserve moisture, and rotate crops annually. Avoid composting diseased plants. Big Beef requires strong support for its abundant yields.
