Cherry Tomato 'Black Tiger' ( Solanum lycopersicum ), from Northern Wildflowers' CutLeaf Seeds, is a rare blue tomato variety with fleshy, tangy fruits.


This indeterminate variety measuring about 1 inch. is beautiful, productive, versatile and can be used for salads, garnishes, cooking or for fresh consumption.

Cultivation method:


Cherry Tomatoes 'Black Tiger ' germinate best at 75-85°F in soil with moderate moisture. Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sow ¼ inch deep. When first true leaf appears, pot up into 4-inch pots. Grow on at a constant temperature of 60-70°F and harden off seedlings before transplanting outdoors. For early yields, water seedlings with a high phosphate solution when planting. Indeterminate varieties should be pruned and trained for optimum plant health and maximum production.
