Description
Algoflash Lac Balsam® Pruning Wound Sealant is a protective sealant designed to preserve trees and shrubs after pruning or accidental injury. By forming a flexible protective layer over the wound, it temporarily replaces the damaged bark and limits the effects of drying, moisture, and external aggressions.
Its formulation, based on resins and vegetable oils, promotes the formation of the plant's natural callus. This physical protection also helps reduce the development of wood diseases such as cankers, necrosis, or rot, which are particularly common after pruning.
How to use
- Wear gloves and gardening clothes before any application.
- Apply the sealant directly by lightly squeezing the tube.
- Completely cover the wound, extending approximately 1 to 2 cm onto the healthy bark to ensure complete protection.
- Ideally, apply immediately after pruning to a clean wound.
- If the wood is soiled or damaged, scrape down to the sound wood before application.
- Avoid application in freezing weather or during heavy rain.
- Clean tools and brushes with water after use.
