Cornus alba 'Elegantissima' is a very popular ornamental shrub known for its bright variegated foliage and excellent four-season appeal. It forms a dense, spreading shrub, ideal for borders, informal hedges, and structured landscape designs. Its deciduous grey-green foliage, broadly edged with creamy white, brings a lot of brightness to the garden from spring to autumn, before giving way in winter to highly decorative bright red young stems. Its discreet spring flowering is followed by small whitish berries appreciated by wildlife.
