Euonymus fortunei ‘Canadale Gold’ is an evergreen groundcover shrub highly valued for its bright variegated foliage and great versatility in the garden. It forms a dense, spreading habit, which can be used as a groundcover, for edging, or even lightly espaliered against a low support. Its dark green evergreen foliage, broadly margined with golden yellow, brightens up landscapes all year round and sometimes takes on pinkish to reddish hues in winter during cold weather. Discreet in spring, it produces small greenish flowers of little ornamental interest, but its decorative value lies primarily in its durable foliage. Very hardy and well-suited to Quebec conditions, Euonymus fortunei ‘Canadale Gold’ is easy to grow, tolerant, and ideal for structuring spaces with a touch of permanent color.
