Strawberry 'Lila'

Fragaria × ananassa 'Lila' is a remontant strawberry plant grown for both its ornamental and fruiting qualities, appreciated for its delicate and prolonged lilac-pink blossoms. This variety forms a compact and harmonious clump, perfectly suited for cultivation in pots, planters, window boxes, or decorative flowerbeds. Its deciduous dark green foliage elegantly highlights the colorful flowers that bloom successively throughout the season and attract pollinating insects. The red fruits produced are edible, juicy, and pleasant, adding a gourmet interest to its strong visual appeal. Well-suited to Quebec's climatic conditions, 'Lila' prefers a sunny exposure and rich, loose, well-drained soil. This cultivar is an excellent choice for gardeners looking to combine aesthetics, biodiversity, and continuous harvesting in small spaces.
