Tomatillo 'Dr. Wyche's Yellow' is an exceptional heirloom variety , developed by Dr. John Wyche in Hugo, Oklahoma . Its flavor becomes increasingly sweet as it matures , offering a mild alternative to traditional green varieties . Easy to grow like tomatoes , this vigorous and productive plant thrives in both containers and in the ground.

Cultivation method:

Sow seeds indoors 6 weeks before the last frost , then transplant into the ground in late spring when the soil is well warmed. Plant 6-12 mm (1/4-1/2") deep , spacing plants 45-60 cm (18-24") apart and rows 90-120 cm (36-48") apart . Germination takes 15-20 days at an optimum temperature of 21°C (70°F). For good fruiting , it is recommended to plant at least two plants to ensure cross-pollination .
