With its 17.5cm cobs and eight rows of golden, flavourful kernels, this heirloom variety remains a firm favourite. How to Grow:
Plant seeds when the soil reaches 18°C, usually mid-May to early June. Sow 2.5cm deep in rows 55-75cm apart. For best pollination, plant in blocks of 3-4 rows or in hills of 3-4 seeds 30cm apart. Thin to allow 20-30cm between plants. Work in a good fertiliser at planting time and provide regular irrigation. Germination takes about 10 days.
