The 'Habanero' chili pepper is known for its extreme heat and distinct fruity aroma. These lantern-shaped fruits, measuring approximately 1" x 1 1/2" (2.5 cm x 3.75 cm), feature thin, wrinkled flesh that turns from light green to a vibrant orange when ripe. This versatile pepper can enhance your sauces, marinades, and spicy dishes. Handle with care to avoid capsaicin transfer.

Cultivation method :

Start your seedlings indoors from mid-February to late March in a soilless mix. Plant the seeds 6mm deep, maintaining a constant temperature of 26°C for optimum germination, which can be slow. Once the seedlings are strong, harden them off before transplanting outdoors in late May to early June in a location with full sun and well-drained soil. Space the plants 30cm apart in rows 60cm apart. Support the plants to prevent branches from breaking under the weight of the fruit, and harvest them at different maturities to experience their unique flavours.

This pepper is perfect for thrill seekers and will add a vibrant touch to your garden and your dishes!
