‘Bombshell’ Panicle Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata ‘Bombshell’). Hydrangea paniculata ‘Bombshell’ is a compact and exceptionally floriferous shrub hydrangea, prized for its spectacular blooms despite its small size. This variety is distinguished by its abundant conical panicles, which literally cover the plant from early summer. The flowers open pure white then take on delicate pale pink hues at the end of the season, extending its ornamental appeal. Its general habit is dense, rounded, and well-structured, making it an excellent choice for small gardens, low borders, front-facing beds, and container cultivation.

To plant ‘Bombshell’ panicle hydrangea, choose a suitable exposure: full sun to partial shade. The recommended soil is ordinary to rich, well-drained. Maintain regular moisture around the roots, as soil that dries out abruptly can cause the foliage to wilt. Avoid repeated pruning to artificially maintain a small silhouette; instead, choose a space suitable for the variety’s development. Water the root ball before planting and ensure that water can drain after planting. During establishment, check the moisture by hand before watering again.

Allow a width of 1–1.2 m (3.5–4 ft) to accommodate this plant in the garden. The indicated height of 0.9–1 m (3–3.5 ft) helps in choosing its position relative to neighboring plants. Keep access to the base for weeding, checking moisture, and removing damaged parts. Associate this variety with plants whose light and water needs are compatible. If you are considering a container, first check that its volume and drainage are suitable for root development. Roots in pots are more exposed to cold than those planted in the ground.
