Ornamental shrub
Hydrangea paniculata 'Lavalamp Moonrock' is a highly ornamental deciduous shrub prized for its spectacular and prolonged blooms. Its large, conical panicles begin lime green in early summer, then lighten to a bright creamy white before turning a soft pink in late season. Each sturdy, upright stem supports the heavy inflorescences without bending in the rain, ensuring an elegant appearance from start to finish. This cultivar, reaching between 120 and 180 centimeters (48 to 72 inches / 4 to 6 feet) in height and width, adapts to a wide variety of well-drained soils. Ideal in the ground or in a large container, it fits easily into a structured garden or flower border. Its abundant blooms attract butterflies while being tolerant of the extreme cold of zones 3 to 8, making it an excellent choice for northern regions.
