Hydrangeaceae

Hydrangea paniculata 'Puffer Fish' is an exceptional panicle, combining hardiness, spectacular flowering, and ease of cultivation. Between 91 and 150 cm (36 to 60 in), its giant panicles invade the plant in summer, lightening to pure white then turning slightly green at maturity, often with a new white shoot at the top – hence its evocative name. The strong stems ensure perfect standing, even after rain. Hardy to zones 3–8, it thrives in full sun to partial shade, in rich, well-drained soil. Long-lasting summer blooms until early autumn, while remaining easy to maintain: prune in spring, water moderately. Versatile, it is perfect in beds, hedges, large pots or for cutting and drying flowers.
