Application and monitoring

Mode of action

Predatory mites multiply in the sachet and disperse into the crop over several weeks. Predatory mites use their piercing mouthparts to extract the contents of their prey. The Ulti-Mite slow-release sachet, made from 100% industrially compostable film, provides consistent pest control, even in extreme dry or humid conditions.

Application method

  • Hang sachets in sheltered areas of the crop (avoid direct sunlight)
  • Sachets are equipped with an opening for dispersion
  • Hold the sachet by the cardboard strip at the top, for the benefit of the predatory mites

Dose and frequency

The Spical Ulti-Mite dose depends on climate, crop, and pest density, and must always be adapted to the specific situation. Begin introduction preventatively or as soon as the first pest mites are detected in the crop. Use at least 4,000 sachets per hectare and hang them at regular intervals in the crop. Releases should be repeated after 4 to 6 weeks if the pest is still present. Consult a specialist if pest pressure, crop, or conditions require a personalized program.
