Lonicera periclymenum 'Belgica', known as Woodbine Honeysuckle 'Belgica', is a deciduous climbing vine much appreciated for its fragrant blooms and natural charm. This vigorous variety produces long, flexible stems that easily twine around trellises, pergolas, and fences, creating a dense and decorative green screen. In early summer, it is covered in a multitude of bicolored tubular flowers, purple-pink on the outside and cream to pale yellow on the inside. These flowers emit a sweet fragrance, particularly noticeable in the evening, and attract numerous pollinators. After flowering, small decorative red berries appear, which are enjoyed by birds. Very hardy and easy to grow, this vine adapts to a wide variety of well-drained soils and prefers sunny to semi-shady locations.
