Malus 'Red Barron' is an ornamental apple tree with a narrow, slender habit, particularly prized for its abundant spring bloom of dark pink buds opening to light pink flowers, followed by a spectacular fruiting of very persistent and decorative bright red crabapples. Its foliage, purple when emerging, turning glossy dark green, then orange in autumn, offers prolonged visual interest over three seasons.
