This annual melon produces round, 2- to 3-pound (0.9 to 1.4 kg) fruits with yellow-green skin and sweet, creamy orange flesh. Known for its extra-sweet flavor and hints of honey and vanilla, it's perfect for lovers of juicy, refined melons.

Spread : 1.5 to 2 meters
Plant height : 30 to 45 cm
Quantity per pack : 9 seeds
Companion plants : Corn, beans, radishes, lettuce
Enemy plants : Potatoes, squash (competition for nutrients)

Cultivation method:

Plant 'Arava F1' melon in well-drained, organically enriched soil in full sun. This variety can tolerate partial shade, but fruits develop best in plenty of light. Before sowing, soak the seeds in warm water for 8 to 24 hours to speed germination. Space plants 2 to 3 feet apart to allow good air circulation and prevent disease.

Uses and benefits:

The sweet, juicy flesh of the 'Arava F1' melon is perfect for eating fresh or adding to salads, smoothies and desserts. Grill or roast it to reveal unique, caramelised flavours, or serve it as an appetiser with prosciutto for a gourmet touch. This melon is also rich in vitamins A and C, contributing to a healthy, balanced diet.
