Osmunda claytoniana
Osmunda claytoniana is a deciduous fern with a broad, light habit and finely divided, soft green fronds that grow in soft, natural clumps. More slender than the royal fern, it thrives in partial shade in cool, slightly acidic soils. Discreet, elegant and very hardy , it evokes ancient undergrowth and peaceful forest gardens.
