Planting and maintenance:
Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost in a light potting mix. Maintain 21–24°C for rapid germination. Transplant into individual pots when seedlings are 4 cm tall, then grow at 15–18°C until ready to plant out. Plant in full sun in rich, well-drained soil, spacing them 90 cm apart, as the indeterminate growth habit requires good support. Water regularly and mulch to retain moisture, which improves fruit quality and reduces cracking.
