Boston ivy ‘Veitchii’
Parthenocissus tricuspidata ‘Veitchii’, also known as Boston ivy ‘Veitchii’, is an architectural climbing plant with deciduous foliage, renowned for its exceptional adherence and its very close-fitting effect on surfaces. Its trilobed leaves, smaller and tighter than those of the typical form, create a dense and uniform carpet directly applied to walls thanks to powerful suckers. In summer, its shiny green foliage is impeccable; in autumn, it turns intense scarlet red, completely covering facades. This variety is ideal for masonry, bricks, and structured surfaces where a neat and formal effect is desired. Parthenocissus tricuspidata ‘Veitchii’ prefers sun to partial shade and tolerates ordinary, well-drained soils. Very vigorous, it is suitable for large vertical surfaces requiring rapid and compact coverage.
