Dianthus 'Paint The Town Fuchsia'

Latin name
Dianthus 'Paint The Town Fuchsia'
Common name
Carnation 'Paint The Town Fuchsia'
Type
Perennial
Family
Caryophyllaceae

Members of the Paint the Town series are prized for their vibrant colors and increased heat tolerance. Flowers appear in early summer, and prompt deadheading after flowering encourages them to bloom again in early fall. 'Paint the Town Fuchsia' is one of the earliest-flowering Dianthus, producing large, single fuchsia flowers with lavender centers and strikingly serrated petals. The flowers completely cover the plant when it is at its peak. Its glaucous blue foliage sets it apart from other Dianthus of this type.
