Philadelphus ‘Minnesota Snowflake’, commonly known as Minnesota Snowflake mock orange, is a deciduous ornamental shrub with a rounded, vigorous habit, particularly prized for its spectacular double blooms and intense fragrance. In early summer, it is covered in a profusion of pure white, very double flowers, reminiscent of small snowy pompons, which release a sweet scent akin to orange blossom. Its dense, medium green, slightly textured foliage forms an ideal structural mass for an informal hedge or shrub border. Very hardy and reliable in northern climates, Philadelphus ‘Minnesota Snowflake’ prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil rich in organic matter. It makes an excellent choice for creating a fragrant screen or a bright focal point near outdoor living areas.
