Physocarpus opulifolius 'Coppertina'®
Physocarpus opulifolius 'Coppertina'®, commonly known as ‘Coppertina’ ninebark, is a remarkable deciduous ornamental shrub prized for its changing foliage and excellent hardiness. This variety forms a dense, rounded bush that integrates perfectly into informal hedges, shrub borders, and structured flowerbeds. In spring, young leaves emerge in bright coppery shades reminiscent of bronze, then gradually evolve into a deep purplish-red throughout the season. This colorful foliage creates a spectacular contrast in the garden. In early summer, the shrub produces delicate pinkish-white flowers clustered in rounded corymbs that attract pollinators. After flowering, small decorative reddish fruits appear, extending its visual appeal. Very hardy and easy to grow, this ninebark tolerifies ordinary soils, moderate drought, and urban conditions well.
