Physocarpus 'Ginger Wine'®
Physocarpus opulifolius 'Ginger Wine'®, known as ginger wine ninebark, is a deciduous ornamental shrub with a rounded, dense habit, remarkable for the richness and evolution of its foliage. In spring, young leaves emerge in very bright orange-red and coppery hues, then evolve to a deep purple in summer, creating a dynamic contrast in the garden. Its spring flowering consists of delicate pinkish-white corymbs that attract pollinators and highlight the dark foliage. Very hardy and adaptable, Physocarpus opulifolius 'Ginger Wine'® tolerates various types of well-drained soils and performs particularly well in full sun, where its colors are most intense. Ideal in beds, as a free-standing hedge, or as a specimen plant, it brings structure, texture, and lasting color to residential landscapes.
