Norway Spruce 'Tompa' (Picea abies 'Tompa'). Picea abies 'Tompa', known as Norway spruce 'Tompa', is a very compact dwarf conifer appreciated for its dense and rounded habit. This variety forms a small, particularly tight globular shrub that adds rich and structured texture to rock gardens, dwarf conifer beds, and alpine gardens. Its short, dark green needles densely cover the branches, creating a uniform and decorative plant mass all year round. Thanks to its slow growth, this spruce maintains its regular shape for a long time without requiring significant pruning.

To plant Norway spruce 'Tompa', choose a suitable exposure: sun. The recommended soil is: well-drained soil, tolerates ordinary soil. Respect the natural silhouette of the conifer and avoid deep cutting into parts without foliage. Monitor moisture after planting, including in autumn when the weather is dry. Aeration and drainage are as important as watering frequency. Water the root ball before planting and ensure water can drain after planting. During establishment, check the moisture by hand before watering again.
