Picea pungens 'Niemetz', known as 'Niemetz' blue spruce, is a dwarf ornamental conifer prized for its compact habit and luminous silver-blue coloration. This variety forms a small, dense, rounded shrub that fits perfectly into rock gardens, dwarf conifer beds, and alpine gardens. Its short, rigid needles display the steel-blue to silver-blue hue typical of the blue spruce, creating a remarkable decorative contrast with other plants in the garden.
