Discover the plant
Organic white ‘Mini Habanero’ hot pepper (Capsicum chinense ‘Habanero Mini White’) is a rare compact selection producing numerous small wrinkled fruit that ripens creamy white or ivory. Small size makes dosing easier but does not mean mildness: fruit retains fruity citrus aroma and the strong heat associated with habaneros. The plant suits unusual-pepper collections and containers. The supplier workbook identifies it as neither heirloom nor open-pollinated.
Sow indoors February through April, approximately eight to twelve weeks before last frost, 0.5–1 cm deep. Maintain 24–30°C and even moisture; emergence generally requires 10–21 days. After germination provide intense light, pot up before roots become confined, and harden gradually. Transplant only once nights remain above approximately 12°C into the warmest full-sun position. A movable 10–15 L container helps the plant accumulate warmth and extends ripening in Quebec.
The Biologiquement Vôtre workbook lists approximately 10 seeds, height of 45–60 cm, spread near 40 cm, and harvest around 100 days after transplanting. Harvest once fruit is firm and uniformly creamy white. External descriptions of similar lines often mention very small fruit and strong heat, but exact dimensions and Scoville value are not guaranteed for this lot. Wear gloves, avoid the eyes, taste in minute quantities, and keep fruit away from children.
