The Rhododendron 'Dark Lord', also known as 'Dark Lord' rhododendron, is a particularly remarkable evergreen ornamental shrub due to the dramatic intensity of its flowering. This vigorous variety forms a dense, well-rounded bush that adds depth and contrast to shrub beds, woodland gardens, and shaded landscapes. In spring, large inflorescences appear and are covered in very dark red flowers that verge on deep burgundy, sometimes almost black in the center, giving it a spectacular and distinctive appearance. The thick, slightly glossy dark green foliage remains ornamental all year round and enhances the intense color of the flowers.
