Rhododendron 'PJM'
The Rhododendron 'P.J.M.', called 'P.J.M.' rhododendron, is a very popular evergreen ornamental shrub known for its early blooming and remarkable cold hardiness. This classic hybrid forms a dense, rounded bush that fits perfectly into flowerbeds, foundation plantings, and woodland gardens. In early spring, often before the trees fully leaf out, it is covered in an abundance of bright rosy-lavender flowers grouped in elegant small inflorescences. Its dark green, slightly glossy evergreen foliage often turns a purplish-bronze color during autumn and winter, offering additional decorative interest year-round. This variety is known for its relative sun tolerance compared to many other rhododendrons, while preferring acidic soils rich in organic matter and well-drained.
