Hybrid Tea Rose ‘Secret’ (Rosa ‘Secret’). The Rosa ‘Secret’, an elegant hybrid tea rose, captivates with its large, double, soft pink flowers delicately shaded with cream on the reverse, exuding a rich and refined fragrance. Its upright, bushy, and well-structured habit makes it an excellent choice for sunny borders, classic beds, and large container cultivation. Very free-flowering, it produces spectacular roses throughout the summer, ideal for cutting thanks to their long, sturdy stems. Its dark green, lustrous, and dense foliage highlights the delicacy of the flowers while offering good disease tolerance when grown in rich, well-drained soil.
To plant the hybrid tea rose ‘Secret’, choose a suitable exposure: full sun. The recommended soil is: rich, fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral. Water at the base and allow air to circulate between the branches. Remove dead parts with a clean tool, then prune according to the rose's group. Winter protection depends on its hardiness and the possible presence of a graft union. Water the root ball before planting and ensure that water can drain after planting. During recovery, check the moisture by hand before watering again.
Allow a width of 90 cm (35 in) to arrange the plant's space in the garden. The indicated height of 1.2 m (4 ft) helps choose its position relative to neighboring plants. Keep access to the base for weeding, checking moisture, and removing damaged parts. Combine this variety with plants whose light and water needs are compatible. If you are considering a container, first check that its volume and drainage are suitable for root development. Potted roots are more exposed to cold than those planted in the ground.
